About the Artist

Frank A. Cassara

Frank has been interested in drawing and art since early childhood. He took art classes through high school and considered majoring in art in college. While in college Frank took an elective course in painting with acrylic paints. Although he enjoyed expressing himself through paint media, other interests, raising a family and career distractions kept him from pursuing this passion until he retired from his career with a major pharmaceutical company. Frank was reawakened to his love of art and started to paint in oil several years ago. Oil painting has allowed him to use color to capture the beauty of nature in all it's many forms. Much of his work has been focused on the ocean, marshes and wildlife of the Low Country near Charleston, SC. Recently, Frank and his wife Linda have relocated to the Lake Country around Lake Oconee, Georgia where there are new opportunities for capturing the beauty of the lake and farmland surrounding their home. Painting for Frank has become a lifelong learning experience and he looks forward to sharing his experiences and his work with others.
